For those who have had Cognitive behavioural therapy for anxiety?

I'm currently having cbt for my anxiety and agoraphobia and am on session three and was wondering what other peoples experience of this type of therapy are.thanks.xx.

I have very bad depression and anxiety. It helped me. I really found it incredibly helpful.
A good book that is really good to use alongside cbt is The Feeling Good Handbook by Dr David Burns. Its aimed at depression and anxiety.

I have panic attacks and tried CBT but it did not change the panic. I guess it changed the way I view some things but nothing in regard to panic attacks. Doctors say once you suffer anxiety and panic you always will and I have found talking to myself in panic helps me a lot more than CBT.

i went to a great program at a local hospital. they used the book 10 simple solutions to panic by martin m. anthony ph.d and randi e. mccabe, ph.d
i found it wonderfull and i can go and do more and more things everyday.
